The story develops in everyday scenes, mixing reality with fantasy, making happenings which could seem very unlikely, credible; to end up being resolved with the help of nature that, simply and “naturally”, brings everything to a happy end.
A story with a lot of humour and growing interest, using essential oral resources, that look at the small details in life and arouse interest for reading and literary experience, that uses accumulative structure in a playful and expressive way, and offers the possibility for dramatization and literary experimentation. The narrator also winks at the reader, giving information, in a comic code that helps to understand the story and marks the pauses in a story that develops at a frantic rate.
The French illustrator, Geraldine Alibeu, applies an original vertical treatment of the spaces, taking advantage to the maximum of the double page, on clean backgrounds, with hardly any elements, to focus our attention on the characters, combining paint and collage with a tinged palette exempt of primary colours.
