After a long sleep, they wake up and are curious about what lies below in the city. They jump out of the clouds, begin to fall: one, two, three…

After a long sleep, they wake up and are curious about what lies below in the city. They jump out of the clouds, begin to fall: one, two, three…

Text and images by Eva Montanari recreate with a special poetic charge, the adventure undertaken by the first drops (up to 10!) that precede a downpour, small drops that catch us by surprise and announce the arrival of many more.
The author, who is also an illustrator, presents a plastic work of sculptural character with different materials -paper, ceramics…- which is very spectacular, and which occupies the double page. The vertical design of the album is also very original, with a series of fantastic characters who, despite their condition, have a very human face and appear perfectly integrated into the city’s scenery.
Eva Montanari’s text reminds us of the importance of learning to have fun and enjoy the little things, while the images recreate for us a very special urban space. The project, as a whole, is also a very good excuse to approach mathematics in a dynamic and fun way.
